About the pathway

HCSA’s Activist Pathway is a step-by-step training programme designed to equip you with the skills you need to get active in your workplace.

The starting point on the pathway is getting to grips with the basics for campaigning in your workplace. Once you have found your feet as an Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to continue on the pathway and deepen your knowledge of employment law, negotiating techniques and leadership skills.

HCSA ambassadors

The first step in the HCSA Activist Pathway is the Ambassadors programme.

This module will give you the information to establish yourself as a lead contact for HCSA members in the workplace. You will learn organising techniques including mapping and having structured conversations in order to strengthen HCSA at a local level. You will gain knowledge on trade union campaigning techniques and the resources and support available from HCSA to assist you.

On completion of the module, you will become a certified Ambassador and join HCSA’s network of activists nationally and locally.

Interested? Register for the next training session, which takes place online from 6.30pm-8.15pm on Thursday 14th July.
